The Requirement

Learnnovators owned & operated a content driven website showcasing their works. Over a period of time, the website became slower & faced difficulties when uploading new content. Further, it lacked their newer brand appeal reflecting innovation. It was clumsy & users found it difficult to find the information they needed. The website’s ranking was falling. The leadership team wanted to make the website simpler, easier & highly appealing to their target group. With that objective, they approached Pixel Studios to redesign the website.

Our Design Requirements

The team at Pixel Studios summarized the expectations as below:

  • A website with unique User Interface that reflects their brand message of ‘Innovation in Learning’
  • Make it ‘colorful’
  • A classy & elegant user experience
  • Give more prominence to the services
  • Showcase their portfolio & awards
  • Make it Easier to upload newer content by back-end team
  • Enhance Search Engine Friendliness to enable higher rankings for relevant keywords
  • Enable Faster download

Our Web Design & Development Process

Pixel Studios’ Web Design & Development Process includes these stages:

  • Strategy & Planning
  • SEO Consulting
  • Content Strategy
  • UI/UX Design
  • Dynamic Modules
  • Website Construction
  • Web Analytics Setup

Our Approach

Our initial meetings revealed that the client was meticulously keen on every design element.  They considered that every page on their website is a learning experience for the visitor, which has to be enhanced by the web design. We understood that the design has to be flexible & not seem hampered, as they upload dynamic content from the backend.

We decided to develop the website on WordPress, which the client was comfortable with for maintenance. Their earlier website was running on an older WordPress version.

We reworked on a sitemap & navigation plan that was user-centric. We kept the main links minimal, bringing the relevant pages under each of them. For eg, sections like Culture, Awards, Portfolio, Case Studies, Testimonials, News & Events were brought under ‘About Us’.  We also took into consideration separating the static & dynamic content to minimise the impact on the layout at later stages. This was followed by designing the UI of each page that matched the expectations of the client.

Parallely, our SEO Team studied the previously optimised keywords of their old website. They also did an extensive analysis of competition keywords, rankings to arrive at a fresh set of keywords for which the new website must be optimised for. Multiple iterations with the client ensured that we worked on the right set of keywords.

Website Services

The client spruced up the existing content taking into consideration our focus keywords. The content was laid out page wise based on the sitemap. We worked on Page Title, H1 Tags, Meta Title, Descriptions, Alt Tags.  We also ensured that each page was optimised using select search terms with 5% keyword density.

Our Front-End Team then took over the constructing of pages on WordPress. Matching to the UI elements & the content, they worked on each page, checking for responsiveness across various screen sizes. They also worked on the On Page Optimisation with the support of our SEO Team.

As the website was coming up in our demo server, the client’s internal team had many suggestions coming; mostly minor improvements. We listened to them patiently & carried out the changes to enhance the appeal of the website.

The website was inserted with Google Analytics codes to help fetch the page performance data for periodical analysis & improvement of the website.

The website was put under beta testing for performance, speed, responsiveness & SEO friendliness. With the client’s approval to go-ahead, we launched the website, much to the satisfaction of the client.

The Result

Over the next weeks of launching the website, our client had called to inform us that the new website is well-received by their major clients. It’s a sign that the website will be appealing to the target group & will bring in more visibility & business to our client. As usual, we are overwhelmed by that usual feeling that strikes us after a job well-done.
